Terms & Conditions

Pricing

All prices are listed in British Pounds Sterling (£ GBP) and are subject to alteration without notification. The price you pay is that shown when the item is added to the Basket.

For bespoke pieces, i.e., an item made specifically to the customer's specification, the price and payment terms will be that agreed between the customer and Julie Walton Jewellery at the time of ordering. Any changes the customer makes to the design after ordering and prior to delivery will be recalculated and confirmed with the customer prior to shipment.

Packaging costs are included in the price you pay. Your purchase will be supplied in a high quality jewellery gift box or a beautiful organza bag, and all orders are sent in a securely sealed padded bag for extra protection.

Placing the Order

When ordering online, you will be taken to a PayPal secure checkout where payments can be made using major credit and debit cards. PayPal uses cutting-edge data encryption, fraud detection tools and all kinds of other advanced techniques to improve security making it a safer, faster, more secure way to pay online. Julie Walton Jewellery does not see your card details at any time.

N.B. You DO NOT need a PayPal account to use the checkout. You will be given the option to Pay with your PayPal account or Pay with a debit or credit card or Cancel and return to Julie Walton.

Alternatively payment may be made by personal cheque, if preferred. Please contact me in advance if you intend to pay by this method. Your purchase will be dispatched once payment has cleared.

On receipt of your order you will receive acknowledgement via email.

Delivery

I will endeavour to ship your purchase within 24 hours of cleared payment but this may vary depending on availability as only a small amount of stock is held to ensure exclusivity. Please note that dispatch of bespoke items will take longer. You will be advised by email if a delay is expected. Please contact me if your order is required urgently and I will do my best to oblige.

Due to the one off nature of most of the stock, there is the unlikely event that an online order is placed for an item that has already been sold. If this is the case, you will receive a full refund for that item and the option to cancel the purchase of any coordinating items. This is extremely unlikely but I do attend craft events with the same stock that is listed online.

Postage

UK Delivery: Free delivery with all orders within the United Kingdom. Goods are dispatched using a Royal Mail Standard UK Delivery service, which means items should reach you within 3 – 5 working days of placing your order, and will be sent with proof of postage.

Dependent on the value of the item being purchased, a more secure service may be used which will require a signature on receipt of the goods.

N.B. If you haven't received your order after 7 working days of dispatch (you will receive an E-Mail notifying you that your order has been dispatched), please contact me. Delivery times may take longer during the holiday periods.

International Delivery: Orders from outside of the UK are welcomed, and will be sent Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed. Please contact me for International delivery costs as they vary from country to country. Please also note that overseas customers may incur additional import duties and custom charges levied by local customs against orders dispatched to addresses outside the United Kingdom. Any such charges are not covered in the purchase or delivery price and are solely the responsibility of the purchaser.

Cancellation Rights

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have the right to cancel an order that you have placed and are entitled to a refund of any money paid. If you wish to cancel your order you must:

Inform me in writing as soon as possible, quoting your name, address, item purchased and purchase date by sending an email to [email protected] of your decision to cancel.

Unless agreed with me, you cannot cancel if the order is for the supply of goods made to your own specification, i.e., bespoke items.

Returns and Refund Policy

Where goods have already been dispatched, you need to inform me in writing as soon as possible, quoting your name, address, item purchased, purchase date and if applicable, date received, by sending an email to [email protected] requesting a refund.

It is the consumer's responsibility to send the goods back without delay and within 14 days of informing me of the decision to cancel. The goods must be returned to the address shown on the Contact page.

You will be responsible for the cost of the return postage if you choose to have a refund after the point at which the goods have been dispatched to you. You have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession.

Items must be returned unworn and undamaged and where possible, returned with the original packaging.

You must take reasonable care to ensure that I receive the goods and that the goods are not damaged in transit (please ensure they are adequately packaged for the return journey). A delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods is recommended.

Unless agreed with me, you cannot have a refund if the order is for the supply of goods made to your own specification, i.e., bespoke items.

I cannot accept the return of earrings for pierced ears due to hygiene reasons.

N.B. Your refund rights end fourteen working days after the day on which you received the goods. Your money will be reimbursed without undue delay, and within 14 working days after the day on which the item was delivered. If you are sending goods back to me, I will reimburse within 14 days of the day I get the goods back. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used originally.

Faulty items

In the unlikely event that your purchase is found to be faulty, or becomes faulty within the first six months of being sold, you will be offered a free repair service, replacement or a full refund. Please contact me before returning, quoting your order number, name and address, details of the product and the reason for return, and whether you require a refund or a replacement. You will not be charged the return postage costs.

If the item purchased was a One off or Limited Edition piece, it may not be possible to provide a repair or replacement. In this case, you will be offered an alternative or a refund.

N.B. Faulty means when the item you purchased has got broken or damaged due to inadequate quality, it's not fit for purpose, not as described or doesn't match the seller's description. The item is not faulty if it was damaged through wear and tear, an accident or misuse, or if you have changed your mind.

Jewellery safety disclaimer

The jewellery contains small components, which could put you or others at risk of choking if swallowed.

Although every effort is made to ensure that beads are securely strung, the jewellery is not recommended for children under the age of 5 years. Children's jewellery should be worn under supervised conditions and all products should be stored out of the reach of toddlers. Julie Walton Jewellery will not take any responsibility for the use and safety of its jewellery after purchase. This does not affect your rights in terms of replacement of faulty goods.
